I like Debian + Xfce and the Chicago95 theme _minus_ the Chicago95 icons. You can get the Chicago95 theme at: https://github.com/grassmunk/Chicago95 What I like about it is that the scrollbars are always visible. And wide enough to be seen - as compared to the themes that come with Debian Xfce that ... well, I'll be nice and just say they're designed for the kiddies that grew up with a smart phone and that horrible user interface that tries to save screen real estate by hiding the scrollbars. Another critical piece needed is needrestart to tell you if you need to reboot after updating the software on your machine. I don't know why it isn't included in the software recommended with the Synaptic graphical package manager. Also required is something that tells you there are software updates you should install. Maybe there's already a package that does that - I don't know. I ended up writing my own script. Regards Lee
