This mini has 2 x (1 GiB) cards. According to Wikipedia, it should work with 4 GiB; possibly 8. Memory upgrade may require firmware upgrade. Firmware upgrade requires MacOS; correct? Linux has replaced MacOS here. If a firmware upgrade is necessary, I can try booting from MacOS on USB storage. A more efficient way? Thanks, ...
