My LibreOffice on sid is version 25.8.1.1 and opens twenty-year-old
files perfectly.
I also have 25.8.1.1.
What happens when you try to open a file?
I get a Filter Selection dialog box.
All of the Create options are greyed out.
I suspect there might be some files from my old laptop I need to restore
but I don't know what they would be.
