I like sshfs better than Samba -- I forget the problems I used to have with 
Samba, but there were enough that I quit using it.  (Maybe one of them had to 
do with disconnecting (in certain circumstances) and not reconnecting 
automatically?)

As it happens, I haven't had any disconnects with sshfs that were in any way 
surprising (e.g. restarting a computer or such) so I don't know if sshfs has 
problems similar to Samba.

I assume that Windows can handle sshfs but I'm not 100% positive.
