Here is the silly question : when you use Mageia Linux, beside the usual
'contrib' and 'non-free' you can find 'tainted' repos that hold some
modified versions of some the available software/libraries (like
Handbrake et al) that helps bypassing some limitations, is there
something like such repo in Debian ?

From what I gather, Mageia tainted is roughly equivalent to Debian contrib
