You should run your script through Shellcheck. It will tell you about the
obvious problems, like quoting variables.

Several functions are declared in a file invoked with ". file" at the end of
.bashrc.
~/.bash_functions would be more descriptive..
~.bash_aliases would you have long descriptive funcs name.
