Hi,

Does this do what you want?

$ cat values
1 2
3 3
4 4
5 3
6.5 1.2

$ gnuplot
gnuplot> set style line 1 lc rgb '#0060ad' lt 1 lw 1 pt 7 pi -1 ps 1
gnuplot> set pointintervalbox 1.25
gnuplot> plot "values" using 1:2 with lp ls 1

If that does not do what you want, can you explain more clearly what you
mean by "squeezing" the x-axis.
