I suggest stepping back and seeing if your raspberry pi device can actually resolve deb.debian.org and archive.raspberrypi.com? Use "host" or "dig": $ host deb.debian.org $ dig deb.debian.org At the moment all indications suggest to me that DNS resolving is broken on (only) your raspberry pi device.
