I have a Intel 810 board. I've patched up my kernel from http://i810fb.sourceforge.net to include support for my video card. The frame buffer device works well. I too have similar error messages firing up the X-Server. I reconfigured my XF86Config-4 file as per your instructions ( dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 ) and selected the i810 module. But still I get the error message saying: Fatal server error: AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0 ritesh - -- - -------------------------------------------------------------------- | __ __ | RESEARCHUT. india | | / ,, /| |'-. | http://www.researchut.com | | .\__/ || | | |===================================| | _ / `._ \|_|_.-' | ritesh raj sarraf | | | / \__.`=._) (_ | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | |/ ._/ |"""""""""| | | | |'. `\ | | | | | ;"""/ / | | | mobile: +91-11-35207042 | | rrs ) /_/| |.-------.| | New Delhi.
