Fellow Debain enthusiasts,

on the Debian help page I found the information that I should ask in
this mailing list against which package I could file my bug report.

I have been using Debian stable on my ThinkPad T400s since about 2018.
I got it pre-installed with Libreboot from Technoethical back then.

But since about the last bigger Debian Trixie update a few weeks ago I
encounter the strange issue that my wireless does only show up when I
do a reboot and never when I do a normal boot. To my knowledge nothing
else changed. It is very consitstent.

I tried to solve the issue with the help of the guys at
forums.debian.net but without success. Since the availability of my
wireless internet connection is already determined before even grub
shows up (there is a wireless LED that only lights up at this point
when the wireless will work later on) I think this can't be related to
the usual networking configuration because Debain isn't even active yet
at this early stage during the boot routine.

It seems that the shutdowan procedure does something differently from
in the past which doesn't happen when I do a reboot.

I would like to file a bug report but I have no idea what package name
I should provide for reporting this issue.

To my knowledge there would be a new Libreboot version available but
since I don't have the necessary hardware to securely flash it onto my
system I am stuck with the old Libreboot version which was installed
when I got the device in 2018.

At the moment I always need to boot and do a reboot right away if I
want to use my wireless connection.

Thank you very much for any advice you can give.

Cheers
Onsemeliot
