Grub wasn't updated in the recent 13.6 Trixie update nor it seems that
is going to be updated now. The only issue I had related to Grub it was
mentioned in this post:

but it doesn't make my system not bootable and I never heard/suffered
about issue with Grub in all previous Stable releases (at least from
Squeeze). I don't have UEFI partitions installed in my system maybe
something else broke your boot sector or maybe the boot sector was not
properly updated and it still pointed to the no longer existing old
kernel image.
If you also don't have UEFI the package "grub-pc" could have issue
installing Grub on the correct drive's boot sector (see my post above).
