That's how to unsubscribe from the debian-user mailing list. In this case, however, he asked to unsubscribe from "security all updates". Which sounds like he might be trying to unsubscribe from the debian-security-announce mailing list? Or from something else, completely unrelated. In order to be sure, we'd at least need to know what the From address of those updates is, and potentially get a copy (e.g. as an attachment) of one of the messages in question. (And even that's assuming that the messages are coming in via E-mail, rather than popping up in some other context which led him to come here about them because he's running Debian and they're popping up with Debian.) > Tip for the next time: most mailing lists do this.
