I have converted my partitions to ext3 but I learnt the other day while trying to use bdflush to make the hdd spin down, that it won't work with ext3 partitions ecause ext3 partitions wrrite to disk every 5 seconds, the journal get written I mean. Is there no way to make the hdd spin down with ext3? If no, then is reiser or any other kind of journalled FS work with bdflush? Or is there any other bdflush type utility to do this?
