If anyone can paste their KDE Session file for Sid into an e-mail, I'd much appreciate it. Mine exists, but GDM is conveniently ignoring it for some reason.

GDM now reads session files out of /etc/dm/Sessions/
Here is mine for WindowMaker (it is called wmaker.desktop):
[Desktop Entry] Encoding=UTF-8 # The names/descriptions should really be better Name=WindowMaker Session Comment=This will start the WindowMaker window manager. Exec=/usr/bin/WindowMaker # The "default" Exec is a very special one and is handled specially in # the Xsession script, you could also have "custom" which would just run # "~/.xsession" directly Icon= Type=Application
That's all there is to it.
