Hi,
I am having a little trouble with installing woody on a machine at home.
I have a Hansol H530 plasma monitor on a desktop machine. I tried to run the initial
CD to start a net based install and the screen started to scroll, and ten the monito
gave a message
"Out of Range"
I restarted the unstall with the line
"boot: bf24 video=vga16:off"
and that was fine, until the point in the installation where a reboot is required then
the screen goes out of rang again. I finished of the install with a monitor from
another machine, however once the install was done and a fresh reboot left me with
"Out of Range" again!!
Now I can ssh into this machine no problem, so can someone advise me how to deal with
a plasma screen in these circumstances. I'm just looking to use text mode at the
moment. No X is required for quite a while.
Help?
