Debian's WWW and FTP sites are down unbelievably often. I think this is a *major* reason why Debian is not more popular at this time. Sure, there are mirrors, but a new user won't know where they are. A: I'm thinking of installing/upgrading Linux on my computer. What distribution do you think I should use. B: I heard that Debian is really good. Maybe you should give that a try. A: OK. I'll check out there WWW/FTP site. Huh? I can't connect to there site. Maybe they don't exist anymore. I guess I'll just install Slackware. I think it would be a major step forward for the Debian project to get more reliable FTP/WWW primary servers. Just my opinion. Gerry [EMAIL PROTECTED]
