Since we aren't likely to take any more action based on such a GR than
we do based on the current state of affairs, it seems to me that
expanding the paragraph in the developer's reference about -private
would be just as effective and a lot less heavyweight.
For reference, the current text says:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> is a special mailing list for
private discussions amongst Debian developers. It is meant to be used
for posts which for whatever reason should not be published
publically. As such, it is a low volume list, and users are urged not
to use <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> unless it is really
necessary. Moreover, do _not_ forward email from that list to anyone.
Whatever consensus arises here about the use of IRC with respect to
-private, and Debian development in general, could go there too. There's
no need for steamroller-based constitutional methods.
