The intention is to acknowledge the concerns around generative AI and encourage caution in its use, while avoiding new behavioural or Code of Conduct rules. Instead, it reaffirms Debian's long-standing principles of contributor autonomy, personal responsibility, and collaborative maintenance.

If people think this option might be useful to have on the ballot, I'll formally propose it.Like Marc's ballot option, your proposal shows trust in our contributors to make the right (or at least a defensible) call. I think this is very much consistent with the freedom we usually grant DDs and DMs in their work.
I am unsure whether I ultimately prefer Marc's truly neutral stance or your slightly anti-AI recommendation, but I would probably vote both of them above NOTA, and I think it is a useful distinction to have, especially for people who have well-founded reservations about the current state of the AI landscape but also feel that outright bans or CoC amendments are excessive.
