Good call, it is 4 Fahrenheit (2.2°C) instead of 4 Celsius: https://asmedigitalcollection.asme.org/sustainablebuildings/article/7/2/024501/1233035/Data-Center-Waste-Heat-as-an-Emerging-Urban > > Hundreds of thousands of people lost their jobs because of AI. > > Source? (US unemployment is 4.1%, down from 4.3% July last year; EU: > June: 6.0% (seasonally adjusted), no change) I'll assume this was in a good faith but it is hard to believe that a Debian person was one web search away from finding many links that lead to these stories. I'll skip those links, because I'm not trying to convince you or anyone about anything here - you need to want to expand your knowledge of the world, no matter what the other side is. But I'll use this space to lend something I consider to be important but seems to be lost lately. I'll start with two examples: 0. Statistically, during the Woodstock 1969 the same number of people who entered the festival grounds, was the same number that exited. That said, two died and there were 2 newborns. While the number is the same, I think it is quite a distinctive nature of the total number. 1. If you put your one hand in 100°C and the other in -60°C - statistically your hands are inside cozy 20°C but in reality you're losing both hands. We should apply more of critical thinking. And I know many of us think they do so they filter out "wrong" facts/news but I think we just became part of algorithm change (in past, in social media at first) in the world where we only get the supply of what reinforces our stance. The critical thinking shouldn't be filtering out any news that doesn't reinforce our view, but it should be that we carefully consume different sources and filter out what seems terribly wrong, because from time to time, we might actually update our knowledge and thoughts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blind_men_and_an_elephant Cheers and I hope this is my last message about current AI o/, Z -- It's not the COST, it's the VALUE
