Intel 810 Xfree driver needs intel_agp to be loaded (or compiled in the kernel, but debian official kernel compile it as a module). This kernel driver manages /dev/agpgart. What happens when your try to laod it manually (modprobe intel_agp) . Does it creates /dev/agpgart or outpout errors (sometimes errors are only shown in "dmesg" command output.
