locate whatis me donne tout un tas de r�ponses, dont celles-ci:
/var/cache/man/fr/whatis
/var/cache/man/fr_FR/whatis
Je cherche � savoir leur taille:
[joel@localhost joel] $wc -l /var/cache/man/fr/whatis
1586 /var/cache/man/fr/whatis
[joel@localhost joel] $wc -l /var/cache/man/fr_FR/whatis
14342 /var/cache/man/fr_FR/whatis
Je cherche � lire leur contenu par cat.
Voici la derni�re ligne de /var/cache/man/fr_FR/whatis:
zshzle (1) - zsh command line editor
Et celle de /var/cache/man/fr/whatis:
znew (1) - Recompacter des fichiers .Z en des fichiers .gz
Je fais un essai sur ces mots:
[joel@localhost joel] $whatis znew
znew: nothing appropriate
[joel@localhost joel] $whatis zshzle
zshzle: nothing appropriate
Si j'ai bien compris, c'est dans whatis lui-m�me que se situe le probl�me.
Peux-tu m'envoyer le contenu de ton /usr/bin/whatis, que je compare avec le
mien ?
