That's the problem.
We want to make sure that all legitimate emailers are notified if the
message doesn't go through.
We'd rather ALERT than for a sales/support lead to just go un-answered..
But, you have to realize that you're going to essentially be sending spam in order to do that.

The best you can do in this case is be very careful about which tests you use the BOUNCE/ALERT actions with, to make sure that they are used only in cases where it is very likely that the E-mail is not spam.

Is there a way to only ALERT for a specific weight range?
Given the above scenario, we wouldn't want to ALERT for emails that have
a weight of 20+ (messages that are obviously spam) but we would for
messages for weight (12-15).
Yes (and I certainly hope you weren't using the ALERT action for all E-mail with a high weight!)

In this case, you could add this line to the \IMail\Declude\global.cfg file:

WEIGHT1215 weightrange x x 12 15

and then use the following line in the $default$.JunkMail file:

WEIGHT1215 ALERT

that way the ALERT action will only be used if the total weight is between 12 and 15.
