Hi, All-
I am missing something about Windows DNS servers/resolvers...
I'm using W2K and W2003 servers with the respective MS DNS servers on my
mail servers. I have installed DNS servers in cache-only mode. The root
hints appear to be correct. Recursion is enabled and no forwarders are
specified. My ISP's resolvers are specified in the network setup.
How can I set these servers to query the root servers and resolve addresses
on their own without going through an intermediary resolver at my ISP?
When I remove the ISP's resolvers from the network setup on the machines,
the DNS servers don't resolve anything.
