But if it did, how would you deal with the dozens of commercial apps that require 5.0 and only 5.0, or 1.4.2 and only 1.4.2? The boondoggle of JRE compatibility never ceases to amaze. I think the fact that they don't uninstall older revs automatically is their admission that the compatibility situation is untenable otherwise.
