Ah, but that's where the New York Times is tricking you.  They may be doing 
something odd, like using a return address of 
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]".  You can check the IMail SMTP log file 
for when the E-mail was received, and look at the "MAIL FROM:" line.  That 
contains the true return address (where bounces will be sent).
