The problem is that your E-mail came from 63.172.241.62, not
mail.earthsciences.net or navigw.earthsciences.net.
For 63.172.241.33 (navigw.earthsciences.net), Sprint returns a "No error"
code, a CNAME value, and the nameserver where that CNAME value can be
looked up. That's fine.
For 63.172.241.62, however, Sprint returns a "This host does not exist"
error, a CNAME value, and a SOA record for earthsciences.net. The "This
host does not exist" error means that Sprint is saying that the revese DNS
entry for 63.172.241.62 doesn't exist (although it's doing it in a weird way).
