>Just wondering how much of an impact on CPU utilization does declude have?
That depends mostly on which Declude programs you are running. On most servers, the only noticeable CPU usage would come from Declude Virus (actually, from the virus scanner used with Declude Virus), since virus scanning is quite CPU intensive. >I haven't noticed a large impact on our server, but our email traffic is >relatively light (exact stats unknown, anyone know how to check on imail? >kind of like, #mails/day). We have a number of people processing over 100,000 E-mails/day with Declude JunkMail without any problems (and some processing that many with Declude Virus, where some thought would need to be given about the best way to scan that volume of mail). Although people occasionally mention that the virus scanning uses up noticeable CPU time, I can't recall anyone mentioning that Declude JunkMail was using up too much CPU time. We have a "Domain Lister" tool at http://www.declude.com/tools that you can use to see how many E-mails/day are sent/received from each domain. -Scott --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list.
