I know this has been mentioned here before, referencing an article about it,
but I just went poking around on ftc.gov and found they have a section
dedicated to spam that allows consumers to file complaints as well as gives
information about what they can do to reduce spam on their own. I looked
back into it after recieving several questions about bonced spam from a
third party who's address was used by the spammer as the sender. I plan on
adding the link to http://www.ftc.gov/spam in my bounce and attach actions
to better educate my customers, and thought others might want to as well. I
would think using a false sender and reply to addresses would fall well
under deceptive trade practices.
