> What benefits would you have using the sender blacklist in > declude over the kill.lst for Imail?
This has been in debate for some time, everyone has a different opinion on it. So it's best for you to decide which one you wish to use. To the best of my knowledge, Imail's kill list will only work with "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" or "@address.com" and Imail will reject the mail via SMTP causing a failure or bounce back if at all possible. In addition to that, the spammer if using a legit address will know that they are being rejected and will more than likely try another way to spam your system. On the other hand you can use Declude's silent but effective kill list which would allow Imail to accept the mail and then kill it or do whatever you wish depending on your settings. In addition to that, Declude's list can contain the following addresses ".domain.com" "@domain.com" and so on. This would certainly broaden your ability to catch more spammers. Along with the name you can place a keyword or short description about the spammers address to help you figure out why the message is failing or just make it easier to locate its usage or effectiveness with spam by searching for it in Declude's log file. I tried to make it short and as accurate as possible. Hopefully this helps.
