I was having a problem this morning receiving mail from outside. I test from a Hotmail and Yahoo account and could not receive from either.
I put a HOLD on the IPNOTINMX in the $Default$Junkmail. I had to take it off this morning because of alot of calls not getting mail.
Why would putting a HOLD on the IPNOTINMX stop most mail from delivering. Does anyone else HOLD this?
Well, the real question here is why you are holding E-mail that fails the IPNOTINMX test? It definitely will catch lots (perhaps half) of legitimate E-mail. That test is not designed to detect spam; it's designed to help legitimate E-mail get through. I would definitely not recommend blocking E-mail that fails the IPNOTINMX test.
