Yes, it worked for me. Three days after 8.0 was installed I had the "stop delivering" problem. Restarted/rebooted for a few days with no luck and then in the queue manager settings I unchecked the dns cache and the failed domain skipping options. In the 30+ days since I made those changes I haven't had the problem.
