Open a command line interface on your workstation.
Telnet to the exchange servers IP on port 25 (SMTP)
Type in the following commands line per line:
ehlo yourdomain.com
mail from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
data
this is an open relay test
.
If all the commands are accepted and the message is delivered trough the
exchange server to the final mailbox on another mailserver it's
presumable an open relay.
