Windows 2003 has proven to be very stable. Our problem is with Imail. The spool queue in particular. It grows at an outrageous rate. It got to be almost 4GB in size. Imail was not handling mail correctly and appeared to be just leaving mail in the queue.
There are known issues with IMail v8's queue manager -- you may want to try disabling it to see if that helps.
Also, you should be sure that 4GB of mail traffic is normal in that time period -- otherwise, you should investigate the spool files (D*.SMD) to see if there may be a mail loop or spammer.
