I usually only see this when it is caught in my spam folder. Does this type of warning ever appear in legit mail?
This is a multi-part message in MIME format. If you are reading this text, you may want to consider changing to a mail reader or gateway that understands how to properly handle MIME multipart messages.
Yes, this often appears in legitimate E-mail. You just won't see it, because it appears in the MIME preamble, which few (if any) mail clients display. If you open an .mbx file on your IMail server that has legitimate E-mail in it, you will likely see that text (or similar text) in a number of the E-mails.
