Lenny,

I had a similar problem about a month or so ago. I found the
resolution to be a combination of a fragmented paging file on the server and
the use of DNSILLEGAL, DNSMAILLIST, DNSPROMO, and DNSUCE in the decluce
junkmail test. I defragged the paging file and took those test out and
everything has been working fine since.

Subject: [Declude.JunkMail] Mail server slow on delivering messages and
spool is building

Hello List,

I have seen messages in the last couple of day on this list and the
IMail list about the spool directory filling and showing an overflow
directory. I have in the last 4 days seem the spool fill to 68,000 message
with the overflow having a like number of Qxxx-xxx.smd files. I see some
mail come into the server and delivered to the mailbox quickly, I see mail
delayed by an hour and some delayed by many hours. I have checked the
logs both Imail and Declude I do not see and problems. This started on
the 13 th There is 39,000 messages form that day. 14,000 form the 14th
and about 14,000 from the 15th and 3,000 from today most of them came in
the last hour.

My question is why if the queue timer is set to 30 Mins with 20 attempts
which is 10 hours why are the so many messages fro the 13th still in the
spool and over flow directory.

Is the a way to tell what attempt number a message is on I can not load
view que from Email admin to look

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
