Specific to ASP.net

As a console app or a windows forms will be fine.

If you were talking about a rowser upload the the following applies.
I guess you could use C# and then register the component as a COM object.
But I have not tested doing it that way and I do not know if it would
work????

ASP.net is the interface between IIS and the .net framework. Weather you use
C# or vb.net makes no difference. If you are on
NT then you should user standard ABP with VBScript, JavaScript or VB6 on the
server side .

What process did I describe to you???

ASP.net with IIS on NT will not work. Console apps and Windows forms will
work.
