Scott,

I can already see how this will become a common thing to misunderstand so I wanted to make a recommendation before people got too used to the new functionality which shows the weights with the Warn action and %TESTSFAILEDWITHWEIGHTS% variable (and possibly the logs also, but I haven't looked to see if it is the same there as well).

The issue is that the weight shown in the Warn and other actions only reflects the weights assigned within the filter file itself and not the weight from the Global.cfg file. Although most of my tests will probably become internally weighted with the combination of END and MAXWEIGHT functions, the following is what it outputs with a weight of 3 defined for the test in the Global.cfg and a trip of a negative weight counterbalance on an old, unmodified filter style:

DYNAMIC: Message failed DYNAMIC test (line 67, weight -3).

In reality this test scored 0 points and not -3. I believe that this will end up causing a ton of confusion and multiple questions down the line if you leave it like this, I can't see why people would prefer the non-total score anyway, and therefore I would recommend that you show the weight of the filter as it would be assessed in total by Declude by adding the score from the Global.cfg file as well.

I would also love to be able to hide tests that result in a score of zero as well (WARNNONZERO, or something similar), but maybe that's getting a bit too far beyond

Thanks,

Matt
