Forwarding here sice this also seems to deal with JM (full overflow directory).
Ideas? G ------ Forwarded message ------ From: Gerald <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Fri, 13 Feb 2004 19:28:35 -0600 (Central Standard Time) Subject: [IMail Forum] flooded queue To: "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Just had a few complaints of slow mail to the company I contract for. Had a look at some of the support mail and sure enought -- there are messages taking 3 or 4 days for local delivery. Using IMail 8.x (where can I see the revision info ?) plus Declude Jnkmail Standard. I looked in the spool directory and there are 13,000+ files in spool AND another 13,000+ in spool/overflow -- OUCH! All was well the last time I looked at the machine last Sunday. Ideas? Any way I can force the system to handle all "ldeliver" mesages first to get the queue down? Should I try increasing deliver pipes from 30 to 60 in administrator? I'm going to try a restart of the whole machine after midnight local time -- have stopped/started SMTP and QueueMgr several times already.
