FWIW, we've standardized on HP Proliant servers, and the RAID cards for that
line are very reliable, and the arrays created are upward/downward
compatible across the line.

Migration features like mirror to RAID5 are there, along with hot rebuilding
of a failed drive across a RAID5 and then hot resync when the drive is
replaced.

Previous to that, I never went wrong with buying Adaptec.

I have the oppertunity to add some spindles to our mail server and want to
