Sorry, don't mean to be dense here - I'm learning :)

So I need both:

Imail\declude\mail.mydomainname.com
Imail\declude\mydomainname.com

Or will Imail\declude\mydomainname.com cover both?

That all depends on how your E-mail is set up. If you just use "mydomainname.com" or "mail.mydomainname.com", you can use just the one. But if there are inconsistencies, you would need to use both.

Seems like when I originally set this up I tried just mydomainname.com
and it didn't work - I had to use the mail.mydomainname.com

That's because in your case, you need both -- you've told IMail that the real name of the domain is mail.mydomain.com -- but yet you have the aliases pointing to mydomain.com. If you want to use just mail.mydomain.com, you would need to change the aliases to point to mail.mydomain.com; if you want to use just mydomain.com, you would need to change the real name of the domain to mydomain.com.
