i know it's been discussed before, but isn't there a possibility to add something to declude, that deals with preceeding spaces in filters?
Yes, it has been discussed before, and the answer is that it is much more difficult to implement than most people realize (it would involve both code to be able to detect a method used to identify a space, as well as a lot of extra support dealing with it). It's something that may happen, but isn't a high priority yet.
