A quick question for all you web hosters out there. I have a hosting client who hired a developer to put together a shopping cart. Ordinarily, I order the SSL cert as a turnkey process from Thawte, Verisign, or GeoTrust, but in this case, I provided the cert request to the developer, who acquired a Comodo cert from instantssl.com
I installed the cert and it does not work. I went to the instantssl website, and it tells me that I also need to install the GTECyberTrustGlobalRootCA as a trusted root cert and ComodoClass3SecurityServicesCA as an intermediate cert authority on the server. Instantssl is happy to provide both of these certs. I am not familiar with Comodo or InstantSSL, and this setup registers way above zero on my scam-potential meter. Do any of you have experience with these? Are they OK? -Dave Doherty Skywaves, Inc. --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list.
