I strongly agree with Darin!

What do you want to see on this list?
"Declude 2.0 is out"
"RE: Declude 2.0 is out - Where to download...? How to upgrade...?"

Ok it's not a problem for me but please remember that there are declude
admins on this list using it for several years now and working weekly on
it's optimal configuration. There was many interesting tecniques pointed out
by different list-members and I really really appreciate if such
informations are published so that we can benefit from it.

Beside the fact that most installation FAQ's are already answered in the
manual, informations like Kami's phishing announcements would help us to
immediatly block messages having a certain characteristic. It shouldn't be
so difficult to skip such messages. As said we do this on newbe questions
too and try to help. I'm sure that many people will also able to benefit
from more enhanced topics and learn step by step how to use the Declude
Swiss-Army-Knife in the best manner.

If someone don't want to manualy update certain filter lists Kami is doing a
great job maintaining a large list of filter files and making them also
public available.

You can got to ftp://ftp.[put-in-kamis-domain-here]/IMail/ and select from
many different lists. Most files are updated daily.

There are also available shortened versions containing only the records from
the last x days. This filter files should help to reduce cpu-usage by having
all actual spam-phrases. (I've measured this and found out that cpu-usage is
reduced down by over 50% but the effectivenes is reduced only by around 10%)

The only thing you have to do ist downloading them regulary from this source
(I recommend wget.exe from unixtools) and configure them as a filter in your
declude configuration.

If you wouldn't play around with your configuration I consider a
MessageSniffer subscription (if not already done)

Markus
