This MX is not mine.  It is run by our campus IT department so unfortunately, I have no control over it nor do I have the ability to change any headers it creates.  I believe it only sends outgoing from local IP addresses, but we have a dialin pool that is local.  I am not positive about other relay restrictions, but it does not use a replica of our IMail database.

Further  to  Markus'  question, what MTA platform are you using on the
MX/outbound  box?  Are  you authenticating against the exact same back
end  userbase  as the mailbox server, or batch-replicating the mailbox
credentials  to  the  MX/outbound, or even using different credentials
entirely?
