Gotcha.

REMOTEIP definitely follows IPBYPASS. So when you get mail from your
backup MX, REMOTEIP will contain the IP of the hop before your backup
MX. If there is no hop, I'm pretty sure that REMOTEIP contains 0.0.0.0
instead.

Trying to do too much tonight. (Wait, its morning already.)

In filter files you can use REMOTEIP.

If I have configured in the global.cfg a IPBYPASS for my backup MX, will
declude still report REMOTEIP as that of my backup MX, or will it ignore
it?

In other words, does REMOTEIP use or ignore the IPBYBASS setting?

My desired action would be to ignore, hence if I had as part of a filter
file:
REMOTEIP END IS mybackupmxiphere
That it would end at that point if the message was received from my
backup MX.
