To be sure that attachments are delivered to AOL customers, Zip them, or do whatever you have to do to be sure they do not exceed 700K. In my experience, attachments under 700K almost always get through.
AOL mail servers are throttling inbound message sizes dynamically, I have a friend that works in one of the many IT sections. It is best to zip the file, upload it to a web server, and mail that link to your recip.
