Nothing to fix re:AUTH. CDOSYS supports SMTP AUTH; if someone developing against the CDO API fails to take advantage of the AUTH functions, or doesn't develop against the version that's shipped with Windows 2000+, that part is the developer's fault, not Microsoft's.
