Chris-
People rejecting mail on the basis of one test is a common problem.
Twice now, I have had Imail boxes run afoul of the CBL because Imail
responds to HELO queries with different domain names depending on the
context. They see that as suspicious. Both times, they agreed to delist the
server permananetly, but only after we had lost significant amounts of mail.
Having had the problem with one box, they refused to provide a permanent
delist for the other one until we lost mail on it, also.
And people rely solely on services that are run like this.
I use the CBL, but I don't give it much weight any more.

Good point Sandy... I guess what I am saying is that I find it strange
that this email server is using a failure of ONE test to reject mail. I
have since corrected the RFC problem on my end.

3) Should they really be blocking this email on such a flimsy test?
Not flimsy at all, IMO. If you are unwilling to accept any
non-delivery messages, I don't think you should expect anyone to take
responsibility for your mail.
