Richard, look at it from everybody else's perspective:
 
We don't have an abused web proxy, so we don't see what you see.  We're guessing, based on what you write in your messages.
 
As to answering your question, a web programmer can do anything they like with CGI.  If you want to talk about their specific application, try posting to the forum over there.  Scott isn't officially here anymore!

I just went to dnsstuff.com and it gave me a page that my proxy was abusing them....I have my proxy locked down to only IPs I want to go thru....How can I get this fixed...anybody know?
