Can you clarify why you think MS DNS sucks? We've used it for years and it has worked perfectly. We also built additional tools to integrate it into our setup and management processes. The only problem or lack of functionality we've experienced is the inability to retrieve a list of subdomains programmatically without parsing the zone file.
